Catcher A.J. Pierzynski had 2 base hits as the Lansdale Red Beards 4 pulled
out a win over the BOSTON BEES by a score of 4 to 3 at Rogers Centre
'13.
The game was decided in the 9th inning. J.B. Shuck lashed a single. Jose
Altuve came to the plate and laid down a sacrifice bunt. Jesse Chavez then
bounced one in the dirt for a wild pitch. Pierzynski followed and he banged
out a single resulting in a mighty exciting win for Lansdale and the 19,438
home town fans in attendance. Lansdale finished with 9 hits while BOSTON
ended up with 6.
The victory went to Will Smith(3-2) who went 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing no
runs. Chavez(1-4) was tagged with the loss in relief.
