In a game for the baseball purist, Kris Medlen(6-4) and Eric Stults(3-7)
squared off in a tense pitching duel, Nevada Nukes finally emerged victorious
over Orlando Hurricanes, 4 to 0.
Orlando was unable to claim the lead after Nevada went ahead in the 2nd inning
scoring a single run utilizing 3 base hits. That was all Medlen needed.
Nevada finished with 11 hits while Orlando ended up with 6.
Medlen was helped out by Kenley Jansen who recorded his 5th save. The Nevada
ballclub's record now stands at 34-26. With the loss Orlando now has a
record of 34-26.
