Travis Wood had a strong outing and Nate Freiman homered and had 4 RBI as the
Lansdale Red Beards 4 defeated the struggling Nevada Nukes 5 to 0 at Rogers
Centre '13.
The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Freiman. He slapped a base-hit scoring a run in the 1st inning,
belted a three-run homer (his 4th of the season) in the 6th inning and banged
out a single in the 8th inning. Lansdale had a total of 8 hits for the game.
The winning pitcher was Wood(5-7) who allowed no runs in 6 innings. Chris
Sale(8-8) was given the loss. He surrendered 8 hits and 3 walks in 8
innings.
