The Lansdale Red Beards 4 came in to the game in quite a tailspin, but they
were able to snap their 5 game slide and defeated the Starlight Clown Moppets
by a score of 9 to 5 at Rogers Centre '13.
A.J. Griffin(8-6) had a fairly solid outing. He surrendered 8 hits and 2
walks in 6 innings. Griffin whiffed an impressive total of 9 Starlight
batters and surrendered 2 'round-trippers'. Lansdale had 12 hits for the
afternoon while Starlight had 8.
Felix Hernandez(6-8) took the loss. Lansdale scored big getting 7 runs off him
in 4 innings. Red Beard was just happy to get a win, 'We've had such a bad
streak of games -- boy, it's great to get the monkey off our back. Now maybe
we can relax a little and play the kind of baseball of which we are capable.'
