At Rogers Centre '13 the Lansdale Red Beards 4 put 5 runs on the scoreboard in
the 2nd inning and outscored the PonceDeLeon Crackers 10 to 7.
Lansdale wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning when they scored
4 runs on 4 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by L.J. Hoes, who made the
crowd happy when he doubled plating all three baserunners. PonceDeLeon was
not lacking for run support as they scored in 5 separate innings, yet victory
eluded them as they seemed to forget that pitching is also needed to win
ballgames.
A.J. Griffin(12-9) went 6 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Griffin got
help from Glen Perkins who was credited with his 26th save. Doug
Fister(14-10) was the loser. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up
13 hits and 4 walks in 7 innings.
