Gaby Sanchez had 4 hits and 5 RBI as the Killer Rabbits of Caerbannog topped
the Flying Toasters by a score of 9 to 3 at Dodger Stadium '13.
Sanchez had a big day at the plate. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' (his
1st of the season) in the 3rd inning, banged out a single resulting in a run
in the 4th inning, laced a base-hit in the 6th inning and doubled plating two
runs in the 7th inning. For the game Killer Rabbits out-hit Flying 17 to 8.
The win went to Jaime Garcia(1-4) who allowed 2 runs in 5 innings. Garcia was
helped out by Brandon Kintzler who recorded his 1st save. Eric Stults(1-2)
was hit with the loss. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 6 runs
in 5 and 2/3 innings.
'I've spent a lot of time in the cage and made some adjustments and they've
paid off,' Sanchez said. 'I just take the same approach up there. I don't
overanalyze it. I go up there, see the ball and try to put a good swing on
it.'
