Justin Upton lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 3 RBI at Citi Field '13
as the Chicago South Siders beat the Richardson Mets 2013 PC 5 by the count
of 6 to 4.
Richardson was unable to claim the lead after Chicago went ahead in the top of
the 2nd inning scoring 2 runs utilizing 2 base hits. After two were out
Starling Marte kicked off the action when he slapped a single. Marte took
his lead and swiped second. Upton then bombed a two-run dinger (his 3rd of
the season). Chicago had 10 hits for the game and Richardson had 7.
The winning pitcher was Gerrit Cole(1-1) who allowed 4 runs in 6 and 2/3
innings. Kenley Jansen recorded his 4th save. The losing pitcher was Jeanmar
Gomez(1-1).
