Right fielder Jay Bruce slammed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Teaneck
Tornado beat the Killer Rabbits of Caerbannog by a score of 7 to 0.
Bruce enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He delivered a solo blast in the 5th
inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 16th of the season) in
the 8th inning. Teaneck finished with 12 hits while Killer Rabbits ended up
with 8.
Jordan Zimmermann(7-14) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 2/3 innings
and allowing no runs. Tyler Clippard was credited with his 4th save. Alex
Wood(5-6) was tagged with the loss. He gave up 2 runs and 2 hits in 4
innings.
Teaneck continued their winnings ways improving their record to a division
leading 55-40. They are 9-1 in their last ten games. Still in a bad slump,
with this loss, Killer Rabbits is 2-8 lately and 35-60 on the year.
