Shortstop Stephen Drew had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the Flying Toasters defeated
the Killer Rabbits of Caerbannog by the score of 6 to 3 at Dodger Stadium
'13.
The Killer Rabbits fans didn't appreciate the big day Drew had. He slapped a
one-base hit in the 2nd inning, doubled knocking in a run in the 4th inning,
smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his 3rd of the season) in the 8th inning
and banged out a single resulting in a run in the 9th inning. Flying had 11
hits for the afternoon while Killer Rabbits had 5.
Glen Perkins(6-4) went 3 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Perkins got
relief help from Sergio Romo who gained credit for his 7th save. Josh
Collmenter(6-4) suffered the loss in relief. He pitched 2 and 1/3 innings
giving up 2 hits and 4 walks.
