First baseman Michael Cuddyer had 4 hits at Dodger Stadium '13 where the
PonceDeLeon Crackers beat the Killer Rabbits of Caerbannog 4 to
3.
PonceDeLeon took the lead for keeps in the 6th inning scoring a single run on
2 hits. Killer Rabbits threatened in the 9th but PonceDeLeon was able to put
down the rally.
The victory was credited to Cliff Lee(14-14) who went 8 innings, allowing 3
runs. Lee was helped out by Alex Torres who recorded his 14th save. Josh
Collmenter(8-7) was the losing pitcher in relief.
Cracker Jack was just happy to get a win, 'We've had such a bad streak of
games -- boy, it's great to get the monkey off our back. Now maybe we can
relax a little and play the kind of baseball of which we are capable.'
