Honus Wagner had 2 base hits and Addie Joss was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete game as the Republic Thunderbolts outscored the McKay Pinchers 3 to 2.

Republic set the tone of the game in the first inning with 2 runs utilizing 3 base hits. Ed Delahanty led off the inning for Republic when he slapped a one-base hit. Chino Smith struck out, unable to help the rally. One out later, Wagner came to the plate and lined a base-hit. Pete Browning came up and he doubled driving home two runs. McKay went down quietly in the 9th.

The win was credited to Joss(6-16) who went the whole way allowing 2 runs. Bob Gibson(8-11) suffered the loss. He surrendered 3 runs and 5 hits in 6 innings.

With this win, Republic has a 47-47 record. They have been 6-4 lately. With the loss McKay now has a record of 42-52.
