Carl Yastrzemski left the yard and had 2 RBI as the Thermal Wastelanders
clobbered the outmatched Lima Lumberjacks, 11 to 1.
Lima fell behind quickly as the Thermal offense came through in the first
inning plating a single run using 3 hits. Thermal simply wore out the Lima
pitching staff, scoring in 6 different innings.
The win was credited to Don Drysdale(12-10) who went 7 and 1/3 innings
allowing 1 run. Jonathan Papelbon recorded his 26th save. Slim Jones(5-11)
absorbed the loss. He pitched 5 innings and surrendered 10 hits and no
walks.
