Justin Verlander mowed down 10 Brandywine batters at Palace of the Fns '11 as the Alan Trammell '87 MVP won a thriller over the Brandywine Crossing in, 3 to 2.

The game was won by Alan Trammell with a run in the 9th inning. Omar Vizquel drew a walk. Vizquel took off for second and slid in with a stolen base. Dave Giusti then let a pitch get away from him. Roberto Alomar stepped in and he delivered a one-base hit making Alan Trammell the winners and sending the 37,647 fans home happy. Alan Trammell had just 5 hits for the afternoon.

Verlander(14-11) was the winner allowing 2 runs for the game. The loss was charged to Giusti(6-6) in relief. When questioned about his counterpart after the game, Giusti was lavish in his praise, 'It was obvious very early on that we were going to be in for a long night. Verlander brought his 'A' game with him - he had good stuff and was able to spot it perfectly. He probably only made one or two bad pitches the entire game!
