In an great finish the cristano1 team came back in the top of the ninth and held on to win over the Alan Trammell '87 MVP by a score of 11 to 10 at Palace of the Fns '11.

cristano1 came through with the game-winning runs in the top of the 8th inning scoring 3 runs utilizing 2 base hits. Joe Morgan kicked off the action when he drew a walk. Mel Ott followed and he doubled. Babe Ruth then hit a deep fly bringing in a run. George Sisler came up and he lined a single. Shano Collins was the next batter, but he struck out. Jeff Shaw then bounced one in the dirt for a wild pitch plating another run. Bobby Wallace was next and he was walked intentionally. Butch Wynegar then drew a walk to load the bases. Andy Van Slyke was up next and he reached on an error. Andy Hassler then unleashed a wild pitch scoring the final run of the inning. This was the kind of game that many fans love as the lead changed hands 6 times.

Ed Walsh(2-1) went 7 innings allowing 7 runs for the victory. Dallas Green gained credit for his 1st save. Johan Santana(2-2) was given the loss. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 9 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings.

'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said Walsh, 'I was just giving us a chance to win.'
