Jack Pfiester tossed a complete game and Ivan Rodriguez had 4 hits and 3 RBI
as the Y Tu Mama Tambien defeated the BS1 Brookfield Sensationals by the
score of 10 to 1 at Fenway Park '71.
Rodriguez provided much of the offense. He hit a single resulting in a run in
the 1st inning, slapped a one-base hit in the 3rd inning, smashed a
bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 9th of the season) in the 5th inning and doubled
which plated a run in the 8th inning. The Y Tu Mama offense man-handled the
BS1 Brookfield pitching staff as they scored in 7 of the 9 innings.
Pfiester(7-2) allowed 1 run on the game. Rick Rhoden(4-5) was the losing
pitcher. He was knocked around, surrendering 7 runs in 4 innings.
