last at-bat beating the Monterey Bay Saltier Anchovy by the count of 4 to
3.
Y Tu Mama scored the deciding run in the 9th inning. Eddie Mathews tripled.
George Foster was next and he reached on an error giving Y Tu Mama the
victory and sending the 36,891 home-town fans home happy. Monterey Bay had 9
hits in the game while Y Tu Mama had 6, but Y Tu Mama had the more timely
hits.
John Franco(3-1) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory. Ray
