George Foster smashed 3 homeruns and had 6 RBI as the Y Tu Mama Tambien topped
the BS1 Brookfield Sensationals by a score of 11 to 8 at Ruppert Stadium
(NeL).
Foster propelled Y Tu Mama to victory. He rifled a three-run blast in the 1st
inning, cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 3rd inning and hit a
bases-empty home run (his 56th of the season) in the 7th inning. Y Tu Mama
finished with 14 hits in the victory.
John Franco(6-3) went 4 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory.
Franco was helped out by Eric Gagne who recorded his 32nd save. Dizzy
Dean(15-11) was tagged with the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 3
innings of work.
Foster said, 'It was just all timing. I had pretty good rhythm at the plate
tonight. You've got to take advantage of mistakes when you can. A couple
pitches were definitely up a little bit - right in my zone.'
