Claude Passeau tossed a complete game as the Boyd's Justified defeated the
Green Mountain Gazpacho by the score of 7 to 2 at Minute Maid Field
'05.
Boyd's scored 6 runs in the 4th inning when they had 4 base hits. The
critical plate appearance was by Eddie Mathews, who quieted the home crowd
when he doubled plating two runs. After the 4th inning, neither team was
able to score.
Passeau(4-1), allowing 2 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Frank
Wickware(1-2) took the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 8 hits and 3 walks
in 3 and 2/3 innings.
