In a dramatic ending, the Kemper Messengers staged a comeback win over the Holiday BSers3 by the count of 7 to 6.

Kemper had the winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 3 runs utilizing 5 base hits. John Romano led off and started the rally when he laced a base-knock. After an out was recorded, Joe Sewell stepped up to the plate and he lined a single. Pat Borders then ripped a base-knock to load the bases. Cool Papa Bell stepped in and he doubled which was good for two runs. Phil Garner came to the plate and smacked a single giving Kemper the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. Kemper totaled 10 hits on the afternoon.

Gene Brabender(8-5) allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the victory. Rob Dibble(1-4) ended up with the loss in relief. He surrendered 5 hits and no walks in 1/3 of an inning.

'What a game!,' Brabender said afterward. 'When we won it I almost couldn't believe it!'
