Tony Oliva had 3 base hits and 2 RBI and Jack Taylor tossed a fine 3 hitter as
the COLO SPGS Bizzaz defeated the Broken Cups 7 to 1 at Shea Stadium '71.
In the 2nd inning COLO SPGS went on top for good when they scored 2 runs on 2
hits. That early scoring was all that Taylor(11-8) needed. COLO SPGS
managed 9 hits in their victory.
Guy Hecker(13-7) absorbed the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering 6
runs in 3 innings. Dan Bisanti was very impressed with his pitcher, Taylor,
'He had unusually good pitch placement this afternoon. It was almost unfair
- but a beautiful game to watch from where I sat'
