Joe Wood racked up an impressive total of 12 strikeouts and Brooks Robinson
launched 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the The 100 Hottest Ballbusters defeated
the Its Now Or Never by a score of 5 to 2 at Stars Park (NeL).
Robinson was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day
at their team's expense. He cracked a solo homerun in the 3rd inning and
cracked a two-run shot (his 4th of the season) in the 7th inning. Both teams
ended up with 7 hits on the afternoon.
The victory went to Wood(1-2) who went the distance allowing 2 runs. Three
Finger Brown(1-4) was the loser. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 9
innings of work.
'Everything felt great' Wood said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could
throw it by everybody today.'
