The Daisy Hill Blockheads edged the Its Now Or Never in 10 innings at Dunn
Field '20 by the score of 6 to 5.
The score was knotted at 5 after nine innings. Daisy Hill won the hard fought
contest in the 10th inning. Lefty O'Doul drew a walk. Nellie Fox stepped
into the batter's box and he laid down a sacrifice bunt. Mel Ott then drew a
walk to load the bases. Sammy White followed and he slapped a one-base hit
giving Daisy Hill the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy.
