Frank Thomas launched 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI at Polo Grounds '41 as the
Baratheon Stags beat the Flatbed Ford Girls by the count of 12 to 10.
Thomas enjoyed a big day at the plate. He delivered a one-base hit in the 1st
inning, rifled a three-run blast in the 7th inning and cleared the fences for
a two-run home run (his 2nd of the season) in the 8th inning. Baratheon
rapped out 13 hits for the afternoon.
The winning pitcher was Jeff Nelson(1-0) who allowed 2 runs in 3 and 2/3
innings. Nelson got help from Rob Dibble who earned his 1st save. Don
Sutton(0-1) took the loss. He served up 4 homeruns in his 7 and 2/3 innings.
