First baseman Jim Gentile added four ribbies to his seasonal total with one swing of the bat at Dunn Field '20 as the Barn Stormers beat the Asbury Park Artists 9 to 5.

Barn brought 7 runs across the plate in the bottom of the 4th inning with the help of 6 hits. The big moment was provided by Gentile, who made the crowd come alive when he launched a Grand Slam homerun (his 31st of the season). Barn had 15 hits for the game and Asbury Park had 9.

The win went to Sandy Koufax(14-11) who allowed 5 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings. Bruce Hurst(11-11) ended up with the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 12 hits and 2 walks in 3 and 1/3 innings.

The Barn ballclub's record now stands at 56-47. Asbury Park continued their losing ways and their record is now 47-56. They are 1-9 in their last ten games.
