separated the combatants at game's end. The Its Now Or Never won by the
slimmest of margins, 5 to 4.
Both teams were tied at 4 runs apiece after nine innings. Its Now Or ended up
winning it in the 11th inning. After two outs Bobby Grich smashed a
bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 27th of the season). Its Now Or managed 14 hits
in their victory.
Pete Mikkelsen(4-2) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the win. Tom Henke got
the save, his 10th. The loss was charged to Mellie Wolfgang(4-4) in relief.
He pitched 4 and 1/3 innings and surrendered just 2 hits and no walks.
The Its Now Or ballclub's record now stands at a division leading 68-54. With
the loss, the Caldwell ballclub's record is 55-67.
