First baseman Stan Musial had 3 base hits and Dave McNally carried a no-hitter
into the 7th inning at Dunn Field '20 where the Daisy Hill Blockheads beat
the Barnburner Pomeranians 6 to 0.
McNally(12-10) was on top of his game. He surrendered only 2 hits and 2 walks
in 9 innings. The left-handed McNally lost his chance for a no-hitter when
Barry Bonds singled with one out in the 7th inning. Daisy Hill finished with
15 hits in the victory.
Pud Galvin(15-13) ended up with the loss. He was touched for 15 hits and 5
walks in 8 innings. 'When McNally is on like that it is a tough game to
play, no doubt about it,' Lindonman said. 'He always pitches well against
us.'
