Cicotte pitched a complete game at County Stadium '61 as the The 100 Hottest
Ballbusters beat the South Park Italians 8 to 4.
Killebrew was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine
day at their team's expense. He blasted a solo shot in the 2nd inning and
smacked a three-run homer (his 22nd of the season) in the 8th inning. The
100 Hottest won despite being out-hit by South Park 10 hits to 6.
Cicotte(20-19) was the winner allowing 4 runs for the game. Bob Gibson(17-19)
was the losing pitcher. He served up 3 gopher balls in 7 and 2/3 innings.
